Ingredients for Blueberry Salsa:
4 cups fresh organic blueberries (they don’t have to be organic)
11/2 cups diced mixed fruit (such as melon, grapes, pineapple or kiwi) – plenty of fresh fruit available but this is according to taste. We recommend the above fruits that you can pick up cheaply at your local grocery store. Organic or Not didn’t seem to make a difference to us.
2 tablespoons brown or white sugar
2 tablespoons lime juice (squeezed for best effect)
1 teaspoon grated lime peel (use this lime zester here for best effect)
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions – Serve it immediately, you can refrigerate for up to 4 hours.
